Our Story
Mon Bijou, a beautiful four-story mansion built for the Schuttler family in 1879 and named “My Jewel” in French, is nestled next to Fowler Lake in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. The estate is returning to its roots to provide, now as a boutique hotel, a beautiful, charming, and historic place to welcome guests from both near and far. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Mon Bijou will be your sanctuary as you explore and enjoy the finest Lake Country has to offer.
The mansion has been lovingly restored and modernized to be a restful, charming, romantic retreat. We look forward to hosting you as you enjoy your time in Lake Country and at Mon Bijou.
